Just a few short days ago, we opened up registration for The Hobbyist Workshop. I wanted to take a second and explain a few of the details for those who have signed up but also for those who are still considering (we don’t have many spots left!!).
What: This workshop experience is a 3-hour event designed to teach entry level, hobbyist individuals with a DSLR camera and a thirst to understand it more. We will begin the event by taking some time to get to know each other. After that, we will tap into a presentation led by Abbey and myself and then round it off with some hands-on experience and a Q&A session. The presentation will cover shooting in manual mode, some basics to setting up and composing a photo, and ways to take your at-home, everyday photos to the next level.
Who: We designed this workshop for people who are in their beginning stages of photography knowledge. An attendee may be someone that has a nice camera that they got for their birthday or that heir husband bought for them for Christmas. They may have had their camera for a while but feel like they aren’t using it for its full potential. Maybe they even struggle taking photos in certain situations (low light, moving subjects, etc.). They may have even just received their camera and haven’t tapped into using it yet. If you can put yourself into the shoes of whoever I described above, then this workshop is for you!
When: The workshop is February, 11th from 9:00am-12:00pm. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Where: 105 E Main St., Crawfordsville, IN 47933 which is the address of the studio of Abbey Elaine Photography.
Why: Both Abbey and I are self-taught photographers who love what we do and want to share our knowledge with others who are interested in learning more. We are excited to teach this workshop so that people aren’t limited to what they can produce with their cameras because of their lack of knowledge and experience. We want people to be able to use their cameras as much as possible and in ways that produce better pictures than they were able to before.
