BEHIND THE camera
You can call me Lex. I'm a film photographer, mama, wife, believer, and creative whose desire is to spread love and joy through the art of photography.
My husband and I's journey to become parents was one of waiting, praying, and having faith in the Lord after years of unsuccess and heartbreak. When we were finally blessed with our precious girl, she completely shifted our perspective in life and made me fall head over heels in love with motherhood + family photography. Prior to that I specialized in weddings and met so many amazing couples and families along the way. As a self-taught photographer who has been in the business nearly 10 years, I feel so lucky to be able to work with such amazing clients, sharing my love and passion for creating beautiful imagery that will be cherished for years to come.
what fills my heart
Quoting a movie or tv show and laughing about something ridiculous with my high-school sweetheart husband of 10 years.
Being a mama to 3 beautiful children that God absolutely blessed us with!
Planning our next trip (preferably a place we've never been and bonus if it includes water).
Photographing our life at home in the country where we have 2 golden doodles, 3 chickens, 2 raised-bed gardens, and the prettiest views of fields and forest.
Dreaming of my next session + how to best serve my clients by being inspired in my own motherhood.
Spending time with our families as we explore the world around us, trying new restaurants and local favorites.
Baking with my girl, obsessing over the newest show on Netflix, trying my hand at a DIY project, decorating + renovating our home.
My APPROACH IS SIMPLY THIS:
Ethereal is defined as extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world. Doesn't that perfectly reflect the most precious kissable cheeks of our beloved babies? I know the days are long and sometimes we just can't wait to crawl into bed for a moment of peace and quiet where no one is touching or speaking to us. I get that and have been there many times myself. But then we wake up and our children smile at us in the morning and our hearts are literally shattered with pure joy and gratitude. The season of raising littles is one of the hardest yet most beautiful times in our lives. Capturing that with purpose and intention so you never forget it is my life's calling. I'd be honored to do so for you.
