I met Evan + Riley at Shades State Park for their engagement session which was also the sight that their proposal took place. They were incredibly easy to photograph, slipped into each other’s arms without question, smiled like crazy and shared lots of laughter. My favorite kind of session, if you ask me. If this was any indication of how their wedding will feel next year, I could not be more excited! Basically a total breeze. Plus, it just so happens that her neighbor is one of my favorite florists (Molly & Myrtle) and will also be working on their wedding. A note from the bride + groom on how they met:
“Evan and I met freshman year of High School in biology class at Bishop Chatard. We started dating sophomore year and have been together for over 7 years. After 4 years of long-distance through college, we are happy to be back in Indianapolis together. Riley is a nurse at Riley Hospital for Children and Evan is an engineer at Allison Transmission.”
Their favorite thing about each other:
“My favorite thing about Evan is his commitment and loyalty to everything in his life including faith, family and the Packers.”
“My favorite thing about Riley is that she is strong and independent but still wants me to be her other half. “
Their most cherished memory together:
“As a couple, we love to go hiking and camping. It is our goal to visit all of the Indiana State Parks and as many National Parks as we can. We got engaged at Shades State Park which marked our 12th state park. And took our first long road trip to camp at Congaree National Park in May. “
What they look most forward to after their wedding:
“After our wedding, we are most looking forward to relaxing on a beach in Australia and exploring the beauty of their national parks.”
