It’s been a minute friends and I am so glad you’ve popped in! This year is going to be different and fun and I very much look forward to it. If you joined my newsletter you already know that some things are going to be changing for Life By Lex in 2022. I’m not going to come out and say exactly what that is because I don’t know yet. Becoming a mama last spring was one of the best changes of my life! Trying to find that work/life balance is a constant struggle especially with a husband who works more than he doesn’t so I’ve been evaluating a lot of things including my schedule, the type of work that I take on, and where my priorities stand. And as many of you know, as soon as you find a rhythm it seems like your baby learns something new and your day is out of whack again so flexibility is key. Basically what I am trying to say is that I will likely be working less but with a lot more intention and with quality in mind rather than quantity.
As I dreamed of ways to serve my clients and friends in a different way than I have before, I decided that my heart and passion is focused on motherhood. Mostly because that is the season I am currently in but it makes my view and desire to document it beautifully that much more purposeful. Anyways, I’ve dabbled with these in the past and am excited to take them on again with a slightly different approach. Introducing the Motherhood Studio Sessions…
MOTHERHOOD STUDIO SESSIONS: As a brand new mama, I have the privilege of viewing family photos in a whole new way. In ways that I never fully understood before, I now can appreciate the beauty, the difficulty, and the every changing seasons of our lives and the lives of our babies. Because truly, one day they are learning to roll over and the next day they are crawling. It’s a beautiful paradox of being excited for the season to come yet longing for the season that passed. And that is where the idea of offering these sessions came from. As mamas, we understand how truly precious this time is and it’s not often that we are awarded the ability to document it in such a beautiful and honoring way. That’s where me and my camera step in!
Each Motherhood Studio Session comes with the following:
- 30 minutes of photography (perfect for the littles who can’t do the long sessions)
- multiple background settings at my home and studio
- outfit styling to coordinate with the season, backdrop, and to match one another
- access to the studio wardrobe if desired
- an 8×10 framed print of your choice (because when was the last time you actually printed anything)
- an online gallery filled with 15-20 images and the option to purchase additional prints in the gallery
- upgrade (additional cost): purchase of the digital files
- upgrade (additional cost): professional makeup application (childcare provided during this time)
Winter: Think neutral colors, cozy sweaters, soft blankets, and hot cocoa with an indoor setting. February 26th. Sign up by clicking HERE and choosing the time that works best for you! I am so excited to be doing something a little similar but also different. They are more available than they have been before and hopefully a bit more accessible for the busy mamas that we are. I can not wait to photograph you this year and capture this always short-lived season of motherhood you are in right now!
