This couple may look a bit familiar and that would be because this was the second time I photographed them this year. They were one of many of my couples who’s original wedding plans were totally thwarted by the virus this year. Luckily enough, they were able to get married with the smallest intimate ceremony full of beautiful little details and the happiest of hearts earlier this year. You can see that post HERE. Then Evan + Riley opted to postpone their wedding reception to a date where more of their guests could join them as well as their friends who are spread across the midwest.
It was my first “wedding reception only” but it won’t be the last (I have several next year as well) so things may look a bit different than a typical wedding post. We started the day off with bridal party and bride and groom photos, went straight into family photos at The Montage, and enjoyed a wonderful and fun reception with dancing, delicious food, and amazing people. It was a lot more simple than your traditional wedding day but honestly just as fun. I loved getting to spend not just one day with them but two! Plus, you could see how much this couple is loved by their friends and family and we felt honored to not only take part in their wedding but their reception as well.
