The kitchen is one of the most used places in a home so Clay and I knew that we wanted to tackle it early on after the move. It is almost complete so I thought I would share our kitchen design board for Our Little House By The Woods. If you’ve been watching some of my instastories, I shared a few behind the scenes of the kitchen progress. I’ve saved them in my bio so be sure to look through those if you want a sneak preview of our kitchen. I will be blogging before and afters here shortly and can’t wait to show you how far it has come!
As far as the design board for the kitchen we knew that we wouldn’t have the budget to do a whole new kitchen so everything had to be simple and purposeful. There is a lot of wood trim in the house and at this time, we are trying to embrace it so we chose cool colors that would complement the wood tones that are existing. For everything else, we wanted to keep things simple with a lived-in look that is warm and inviting because that is what we want people to feel. It has been a fun project so far and our first kitchen design so we are learning so much!
