You can’t talk about this wedding without bringing up the fact that it didn’t exactly turn out the way that Aubrey + John had originally planned for. Neither did their engagement session, as far as the weather goes, but in many ways it turned out even more beautiful. Albeit a bit crazy but definitely with an amazing story.
A few weeks before their wedding, Aubrey and I joked about the fact that it would probably rain on their wedding day because of how crazy their engagement session had been. Little did we know that it most definitely would be raining on their wedding day. A little rain doesn’t hurt but when you are planning on having an outdoor wedding in your backyard and a monsoon makes its way into Indiana off the coast, you have to figure out another plan. I don’t know all of the details but I do know that at 4:30pm the night before their wedding, Aubrey messaged me to let me know that Willow Creek Barn had graciously offered to let them use their venue. And even though it rained the ENTIRE day, Aubrey + John continued to smile never showing an ounce of worry. Everything they had planned for had to be scratched or moved to the new location, and in the end, it was still a very beautiful wedding.
