Lacey and I go way back. Our relationship started when we were freshman in high school and was set in stone after that. She is the social butterfly and I am the one who tags along with her plans. I can’t even count on my fingers the number of adventures, mischievous nights, and crazy events we have been a part of together. College sent us in different directions but the relationship didn’t change. Anytime we get together, it is the same old same and I am forever grateful for it.
She was my maid of honor and ever since then, I’ve been praying in anticipation for the day that she would find the one. We spent a lot of time talking on the phone about Danny and if and when they might get engaged. When that time came, I could and did cry happy tears for my sweet friend!
I had the special honor of taking their engagements pictures. It was actually the first time I met Danny. We had a great time and I truly look forward to the many things we all get to do together in the preparation of their wedding next fall. One of my favorite parts is that I will be IN the wedding! I was so excited when Lacey asked me to help her find a photographer knowing that meant that their wedding will be one that I actually get to enjoy rather than work at. It’s the wedding I will be looking forward to all year!
