Indiana’s weather is by far the most fickle I’ve ever experienced. One day I can wear sandals and the next I’m zipping up my coat and slipping on a pair of boots. I’m sure you all can relate? This year in particular has already been a crazy weather roller coaster. We had scheduled Dustin + Sam’s session for a weekend in March when to no surprise, we had to reschedule due to inclement weather. I was crossing my fingers every day leading up to their shoot for weather to cooperate. This past Saturday was a beautiful chilly morning and the weather did just that.
I’ve known Dustin for years and was so excited when he asked me to take part in documenting his wedding. I was also so excited to meet his fiance, Sam. Both are stylish to boot and made my job easy. We drove around Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, IN in search of the perfect light.
As we went form place to place, I asked them about their story. About how Dustin had set eyes on Sam several years before she even knew he existed. We laughed about how potentially creepy it sounded but knew that in the end it worked out in their favor. Above all else, the sweetest thing was just to watch them be themselves. Two people, so in love and excited to pursue their future together. Enjoy these snapshots of their love and start to prepare yourself for an epic wedding because if you know these two at all, then you know it will be spectacular.

Dustin brought his mom along during his search for Sam’s ring. He wanted something with a vintage look that matched the uniqueness of Sam’s style and personality. I think he found the perfect ring.
