Generally, the times that I like to work with for each part of your day:
Details – 45 to 60 minutes
Getting ready (split between girls + guys) – 45 minutes
First looks – 20 to 30 minutes
Bride + Groom Portraits – 30 minutes minimum
Bridal Party – 20 to 30 minutes
Family Portraits – 30 minutes minimum
Things that can make a timeline look different than the ones below:
If you are using a different getting ready location, venue, and church
If the guys are getting ready somewhere different than the girls
If you are wanting to have portraits taken at an alternate location
If you have a larger than normal family size
First Look Timeline: 4:30 ceremony start time
11:30 – Photographer arrives, photographs details
12:15 – Groom “get ready” portraits
12:30 – Bride “get ready” portraits
1:00 – First look with dad
1:10 – First look with Bride + Groom
1:30 – Bride + Groom portraits
2:00 – Entire bridal party
2:15 – Bride with bridesmaids
2:30 – Groom with groomsmen
2:45 – Family portraits
3:15 – Hide for ceremony
3:20 – Photograph decor
4:00 – Prelude, guests are seated
4:15 – Photographer gets in place
4:30 – Wedding ceremony

6:00 – Introduced as husband and wife
6:45 – BM + MH speeches
7:00 – Cut cake
7:05 – First dances
9:30 – Sparkler sendoff, photographer leaves
