Now that you’ve had your engagement session and received your gallery, it is time to have fun and make the most of all of your photos! The last thing you want is to let them sit on your phone or computer and not get used so below I am sharing some ideas for you to put them to use right away!
Download them off of your gallery and onto your phone and computer: This is especially important because your gallery will expire after a year and you will no longer have access to them. Plus, it is always a good idea to have them backed up in more than one location in case of anything going wrong such as your phone getting lost or your computer crashing.
Use them on your save-the-dates: If you had your session early enough and are wanting to send out this type of card, then it’s a great idea to use some of your engagement photos on it! Your friends and family love to see your faces and will enjoy seeing you all dressed up and looking great as they mark your date down in their calendars.
Upload them to your wedding website: Most couples create a website to help guide and direct their guests for their big day. Oftentimes, it’s an opportunity to write your story of how you became a couple and what better way to share more of who you are than by showing your faces with your beautiful portraits!
Share them on social media: This one might seem obvious but it’s another great way to use your photos and share them with the people you love. Your friends and family always love seeing these so it can be a lot of fun! Updated profile photos are always a good thing, too!
Print some of your favorites: This is a tip that I highly recommend because it is yet another way to get them off of a device and into your hands in a physical way. My favorite print shop is Artifact Uprising but I also highly recommend ordering straight from your gallery. It is the easiest and fastest way to print.
Display them at your wedding: You can use the photos you printed for your home in a special display or set a frame at each table for the reception. There are endless ideas of how you can use your engagement photos at your wedding, just look at Pinterest for some inspiration!
Create a guest sign-in book with your photos: This is a fun and creative way to use your photos while also having a memento to remember all the people who came to your wedding. If it’s big enough, your guests can even write small messages to you that are always fun to read later on.
Create a Christmas ornament with an engagement photo on it: Christmas is typically a very sentimental season and ornaments are always special keepsakes that remind us of a time in our lives. Why not have one with an engagement photo on it with a date to remember it by?
Order an heirloom quality album: This is always a personal favorite because you can never go wrong with albums. They are timeless and a beautiful way to display, enjoy, and look back at a specific season with gratitude and joy.
