I first met up with Will and Leah at McCormick’s Creek State Park. They both grew up not far from there so it was the perfect setting for their film engagement session. We knew that it was going to be a bit chilly and planned their outfits according to the weather and color tones of late winter. We had the park mostly to ourselves which was a lot of fun and gave us the chance to explore. Ironically enough, having gone to IU, I drove past the park at least 100 times and never actually went in. An engagement session seemed to be just the right reason. 😉 Then we ended their session on Leah’s grandfather’s property where they may someday build a home. It was a really sweet day.
Of course, during their session, I got to hear their story of how they came together. It is one of my favorite things to learn about as a wedding photographer! Leah was quick to share that a friend had set them up less than a year before. They both smirked at the fact that it didn’t take them long to know they were meant for each other. Like literally only a few months. They knew right away and weren’t going to waste any time. I really love that about them. And here they are planning their wedding for May and I couldn’t be more excited to come alongside them as they start their lives together as husband and wife!
